The Beach Chalet #5

The stairway at The Beach Chalet is marine-themed. It was carved from magnolia wood by Michael von Meyer  (San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, 1,017 Acres of Stories, by Chris Pollock, Erica Katz, p.125)

Oh, for better lighting!

This is one of several tile mosaics, pointing the way to the loo. The credit block (below) indicates the mosaics were the work of Primo  Romolo Caredio (b. 11/10/1896 Italy - d. 3/13/1964, SF, CA).
